Product overview
Product Overview
The Gladiator GV1000 is the flagship vacuum excavator trailer in the Gladiator HDD lineup — a powerhouse machine engineered for contractors who demand maximum suction performance on the most demanding utility, pipeline, and directional drilling jobsites. Powered by a 69.3 HP water-cooled diesel engine, the GV1000 delivers 1,000 CFM of vacuum flow through a 4-inch, 30-foot hose via a Tri-Lobe blower at 27 inHg of suction pressure — making it nearly double the CFM output of the GV500.
Manufactured by Gladiator HDD, the GV1000 is the go-to vac for contractors running large G-series HDD drills on high-production projects — providing the raw suction power and sustained performance to keep pace with the most demanding directional drilling operations.
Dimensions & Weights
The GV1000 measures 21 ft 6 in in length, 98.5 in width, and 7 ft 6 in height. Empty weight is 8,500 lbs with a payload capacity of approximately 9,900 lbs and a GVWR of 18,400 lbs.
Vacuum System — 1,000 CFM
The GV1000's defining feature is its Tri-Lobe high-displacement blower delivering 1,000 CFM at 27 inHg of suction pressure through a 4-inch, 30-foot hose. The 0.5-micron filtration system protects the blower and keeps discharge clean on every operation. This is the machine to deploy when thick slurry, heavy cuttings, or dense spoil need to be moved at speed without interruption.
High Pressure Wash Pump
The integrated high-pressure wash pump delivers 4 GPM at 4,000 PSI adjustable. Two water tanks totaling 400 gallons provide ample supply for extended hydro-excavation runs without interruption. An internal wash out system is standard on the GV1000 — allowing thorough tank cleaning between jobs without additional setup or equipment.
Spoil Tank & Tank Lift
The 650-gallon spoil tank is constructed to 1/4-inch wall thickness, rated to handle 15 PSI pressure off and full vacuum. A hydraulic door with 8 manual wing nuts seals securely during operation. The hydraulic scissor lift tilts the tank to a full 70-degree dump angle — steeper than the GV500 series — ensuring complete discharge even with thick or sticky spoil material.
Running Gear & Chassis
The GV1000 rides on two 8,000 lb single wheel axles with oil bath hubs and 4-inch drop, 16-inch 8-hole steel wheels, and 235/80R 16-inch 14-ply tires. The 12 1/4-inch x 3 3/8-inch electric brakes with self-charging break-away system ensure safe and controlled towing. A 12,000 lb static drop leg jack provides stable, level positioning on the jobsite. Sealed beam lights with waterproof wiring in nylon tubing ensure full road compliance.
