Product overview

Product Overview

The Gladiator G10 is an entry-level Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) engineered by Gladiator HDD for contractors who need compact power on residential and light commercial jobsites. Delivering 11,240 FT-LBS of thrust and pullback force and powered by a 59 HP Yanmar engine, the G10 is built for reliable performance on fiber, telecom, gas, and water utility installations — punching well above its class in a lightweight, maneuverable package.

Weighing just 8,157 lbs and measuring 166.14 in L × 57.48 in W × 62.59 in H, the G10 is one of the most compact yet capable machines in the Gladiator lineup — ideal for tight urban jobsites, residential right-of-ways, and shallow bores where access and mobility are critical.

Performance Specifications

The G10 delivers 11,240 FT-LBS of thrust and pullback at a speed of 200 FT/MIN, with a rotary torque rating of 1,659 FT-LBS. The fluid system operates at 20 GPM @ 870 PSI, and the rotation speed is 215 RPM. Entry angle is set at 20 degrees with a suggested crossing length of up to 328 FT and a suggested reaming diameter of up to 15.74 inches — giving the G10 genuine versatility for a compact class machine.

Rod System

The G10 comes equipped with a 48-rod onboard rack using 1.65 × 71.85 inch drill rods, providing ample rod capacity for residential and light commercial bores without requiring a separate rod transport trailer. Optional rod loader arms are available to further streamline rod handling on the jobsite.

Construction & Systems

The G10 features steel hood construction with an optional rod loader arm upgrade. Onboard systems include auto anchor for stable setup, mud flow adjust for real-time fluid management, and shut-off valves for safe fluid control. The safety package includes an antifreeze tank, strike alert system, and seat sensor — ensuring operator and equipment protection on every bore.

Controls

The G10 is operated via wireless remote with hydraulic lockout shut-off — giving operators full control of the machine from a safe, comfortable position on the jobsite. The wireless remote system improves bore accuracy and reduces operator fatigue across long shifts.

Ideal Applications

The Gladiator G10 is purpose-built for: residential fiber and telecom installations, shallow gas and water service connections, urban utility bores with tight right-of-way, conduit bores under driveways and roads, and any compact HDD application requiring up to 328 FT of crossing length and up to 15.74 inches of reaming diameter.
