What are trencher chains and teeth?
Trencher chains and teeth are the parts on a trencher that do the cutting and removal of the soil for a trench. Chains rotate around sprockets and idlers and carry the teeth that perform the digging. The teeth act as scrapers or scoops that remove soil as the trencher chain rotates. The teeth also carry the spoils out of the trench, which are placed on the side of the trench by augers or conveyors, depending on the trenching machine.
