What Are Transmitters?

Transmitters are electronic devices used to send signals to a locator receiver in drilling applications. Transmitters are typically designed to convert physical measurements (like pitch, direction, depth, pressure, temperature, or flow) into electrical signals, which are then transmitted to a receiving unit.

The primary function of a transmitter is to convert data from sensors into electrical signals that can be sent over a distance to a receiver. This allows operators to access real-time data.
